interesting translation We had lunch at a "french" (I would not shy away from using air-quotes if I were to tell the story) restaurant in San Ramon, the sign outside the front door even insisted "french operated and french owned" and I will admit that the food was pretty good - but what they had on the menu was hardly french. The usual variations of pasta and chicken in different sauces, dijon chicken being the noticeable exception. However, I could hardly hold the laughter when at closer inspection, I found crêpe among their "entrées", described as french cannelloni.
