Firefox Orbit Themes
This is the homepage for my versions of the Orbit themes for Firefox 1.0 and 1.5
NEWS for October 2006:
Firefox 2.0 will be released any day now. However, i won't work on these themes for
Firefox 2.0 until later this year. Most of the extensions i use currently don't work
under the new release, so i'll wait for development to pick up.
Update 02/21/2006
All 3 themes have been updated to work with Firefox V.1.5.0.1
A few of the necessary changes have just been fixed quick and dirty, i.e. the Options Window
is not as nice as it could be and the Help Window still has no nice graphics. But this works for
now.
If you use an older version of Firefox, you might want to stick to Version 0.2.2 of my themes.

Andreas, I just updated to Fx 1.5.0.1 and can't get SOY-NB to install. My browser says "software installation is currently disabled," but I can't seem to fix it in the Options. Would it be possible for you to email me the jar that will install the theme since I can't seem to get it installed from your site? Thanks for your consideration.

Andreas, never mind the request immediately above. I found out from Mozillazine how to enable xpi installs and have your beautiful theme installed. Thanks for keeping the best Mozilla theme ever up to date.

Nice one. Thanks very much for the update.
I have one request if that's alright.
I really value my browser's vertical space, so I have the browser controls and address bar on a single line.
Would it be possible to reduce the amount of padding above and below the controls to something like 1 or 2 pixels maximum when using the small buttons?
The ~8 pixel padding that's currently used in these themes are the only thing that spoils them imho.
If not, well thanks anyway.

@steve: if you go to
http://www.0509.org/blog/firefox.php
you can easily install the themes right from the page.
you might see a warning that asks you if you want to allow installation form this page - i've had hundreds of people install it without a problem this way...

Hi Andreas,
super Theme.

This is exactly the theme I'm looking for -- the button size is perfect, the throbber is acceptable, the red stop button is great -- BUT it shares the same bug as a few other orbit themes: it breaks the context menu on the downloads page.
I use that menu all the time, so that rules this out for me! Please fix this when you can.
Thanks for the good work!

YES!!! Finally a version of someorbityellow that works with Firefox 1.5! I avoided upgrading Firefox for quite a long time just to be able to use my all-time favourite theme further on!!!
Great theme!

Allow me to second unz' suggestion regarding vertical padding. By chance, that's how I have arranged the interface, too; less vertical padding would be nice. (We could probably tweak something ourselves, but I would be grateful if you did it.)

Regarding comments #9 and #15 (trimming the vertical padding), this extension and style are worth investigating: http://userstyles.org/style/show/855
