Favorite Limmericks

There was a young man of Japan
whose verses never would scan.
When he was asked why
he gave the reply
because I always put in the last lines as many syllables as i possibly can.

Another young poet of China
had a feeling for rhythm much finer
his Limericks tend
to come to an end
suddenly....
